Notes on 60 second films

Human App
  • A lot of panning
  • Confusing at the beginning but less after the second time
  • Random angled shot ruins the effect

Custody
  • Good hallway tracking shot, but it should last a bit longer
  • Tense music
  • Can see him squeese past the camera in the hallway
  • Some of the shots are too long

Rattle
  • First person view/ point of view
  • About someone going through their life
  • The baby rattle is a significant part of the story

Proposal
  • Bathos: Undermining the meaning at the end/ Anti-climax
  • Some shaky shots
  • Long shot across the field was nice

The Burger
  • Good angles
  • Pull focusing
  • Music worked really well
  • Bathos

Anticipation
  • Of a guy picturing everything that can go wrong with proposing
  • Camera angles at the beginning  and end are really good

Control
  • Some shots are out of focus
  • Boy gets accepted by something but the the wind takes it away
  • Story line is pretty confusing
Reviewing other peoples sixty second films has given me an idea of how shot a film i am going to have to make. Its given me a few ideas on how to angle some shots such as close ups to make my film seem more dramatic. Also two people are talking over the shoulder when someone finishes a sentence and it switches to the other person it looks to jumpy, so i am going to find a way to make it look more smooth.
